Finding the bright side to a situation is easy if you know where to look.

Over 30 years ago, the founders of Mama Lola’s Organic Delights couldn’t find a cheese bread that was good enough to make their families happy. They had a healthy, holistic & optimistic approach to life and believed that eating healthy went along with being happy. They wanted food, and specifically organic cheese bread, that fit this belief.

In 1976, Mama Lola’s Organic Bakery was founded. We wanted an organic cheese bread with heart & purpose behind it, not a corporation. We knew there had to be a way to make GMO free cheese bread nutritious and delicious – it just hadn’t been discovered yet. Our cheese breads needed to have a list of ingredients you could pronounce with ingredients you recognized. It was to be the perfect blend of whole ingredients blended with a dash of sunshine, baked with love and delivered with a smile… and maybe some fresh organic butter.

It wasn’t long after our humble beginnings in Santa Tecla, El Salvador before Mama Lola’s fresh, organic cheese breads quickly stood out in the sea of sameness that was the GMO bread aisle. Our delicious cheese breads were being gobbled up by the community not just for their wholesomeness and taste, but also for the local flavor that was baked into every batch. It was the biggest innovation in cheese bread, since…well, sliced cheese bread. Our passion for baking better cheese breads, the right way, is alive and well today.

We’ve been making the lives of families healthier & happier simply by baking their small batch cheese breads a brighter way for thirty four years. Our organic cheese breads bring health, optimism, and a little fun not only to our families, but to families everywhere just by baking on the bright side.
